ABOUT US

Drs. Kassinove and Tafrate have been working together for more than 25 years. Their goal is to improve the lives of adults, teenagers and families who suffer from needless anger and aggression.

Their jointly developed Anger Episode Model serves as the basis of their thinking.  It suggests that individual anger episodes consist of Triggers, Appraisals, Experiences, Urges to Act, Expressions, and Outcomes.  Their program of intervention is SMART. It is not a rigid one-size-fits-all model. Rather, in a SMART program, there is a Selection Menu of interventions for Anger Reduction Treatment.
